On occasion, we need to add a memorialization to a lot where a fully carved memorial is already in place.  In this case, the preferred option is to add a plinth.  A plinth is a piece of granite that is cut to fit between the existing base and tablet.  This is created in a matching colour, where possible, or in a coordinating colour and finish to tie in to the existing memorial.  Examples of Plinths can be found at the link below.
